Vine Bridges of Iya Valley
In ancient times the local people built many of these bridges to use in daily life, using vines that grow wild in the mountains, yet only a few vine bridges still remain today. These surely drive most of you to have more than enough thrill to get butterflies in visitor's stomach when they look down during crossing. As for as one of three kinds of unusual bridges in Japan, these bridges are designated as an important folkloric property.
